_Vote
Opinion - I will always remember each time a young, aspiring campaigning state representative stumbled on my entry way to solicit my vote. We'd a pleasing conversation, mostly him telling me why he desired to represent me and why he was qualified. Conservative values, low or no taxes, plus a tiny bit about his background as a tax attorney. Why are most politicians lawyers anyway? That is another subject.

I told him I'd two questions for him and i also failed to want him to answer the particular question, but things i wanted to know by asking these two questions was on what basis he'd make his decision.
The two general questions were asking how he'd choose to vote on some adult video or pornographic legislation and just how he would opt to vote on road improvement expenditures.
"Regarding the roads, I am going to pay attention to the folks and vote how they want me to vote. A possible problem is becoming input in the people. Not many people get involved with those types of decisions. But that's additional problems.
Concerning the, things i will call, moral issues, (This is what he called my proposed question) I'll vote my conscience, my morals, my values. If, if the next election arrives, you don't like the way I vote on moral issues, then don't reelect me."
I had been stunned! I had found a guy i could support, assuming his moral values matched mine. It is imperative that people elect officials that will respond to the people without compromising their particular standards and moral principles. Some issues are relative. Morals and values are absolute. And that i will absolutely prefer those absolute values!
After our discussion he left our home to carry on canvassing the neighborhood. After a few minutes he reappeared inside my door to inform me his car would not start. Assuming it wasn't a relative political prank to get my sympathetic vote, I graciously broke down and jump started his car, which absolutely started.
